We are so proud of our young HS TV stars who appeared on BBC1’s Sunday Morning Live on 24th March. Our HS young stars woke up at the crack of dawn to be chauffeured to the filming studio for a very special performance.

Our young HS members shared with the nation the significance of Holi and the fun nature of this festival of colour and even got to spray the presenters with some silly string.

The UK were then treated to a beautiful Holi dance from our talented young dancers. What makes this even more impressive was the song and dance the children rehearsed had to be changed at the 11th hour because the original song couldn’t be cleared to be used on the BBC. They also had to dance to an abridged version of the new song, which started at a later part than rehearsed – you would never have been able to tell. The kids were absolute pros adapting to the changes on the day. And we’re staggered that the performance you saw on TV was done in just one take!

HS would like to say a special thank you to all the children who took part: Venisha Verma, Eesha Saggar, Shriya Saggar, Kush Chudasama and Pia Chudasama. You were all amazing! And thank you for the amazing support of the parents/grandparents.

Hindu Society wishes you all a very Happy Holi!
