Dear Everybody
I hope thay you, your loved ones and your families are safe and well. I can honestly say that I’ve have
never experienced an event with such a drastic impact on how we live, work and socialise as the COVID-
19 pandemic. We must all do the right things and support each other in this difficult time and understand
the challenges we face with love, humility and empathy. My fellow Board of Trustees Joginder Sangar,
Anup Saggar, Kewal Saggar, Mr Rakesh Wadhwa, Sunil Tandon join me in wishing all of you well and
pray for good health to all.
Our Executive committee carries on doing sterling work during this crisis and try to be in touch with
all members, society website is a good source for all information, I trust you all are visiting it and
contributing. This year Ramayan was held via Zoom and it was a good success , I thank all of you for your
generous and kind donations.
Efficient and sustained management of our society is very important and during this crisis it seems
we are not able to hold any general elections or AGM. We the trustees have requested that our Current
President and his EC carry on the day to day running and management of our society. I am pleased to
inform that Brij Goyal and his EC have accepted and I am honured and pleased to see our society in good
hands. Annual accounts will be prepared in the normal way and be posted on our website.
For some years now , we have been raising funds to develop our premises to encompass a Mandir
and Community Hall. I am pleased to inform you that we are in the process of signing contracts to start
building works. Our Aim is to have the works finished so Ramayan can be held there in March 2021. To
date we have collected some £500,000 pounds to include pledges by us four trustee of £100,000
(£25,000 each). More funds are required, I request each one of you to start collecting donations for us
please and contribute.
