Hindu Society organised a bus trip to Slough Gurudwara, Windsor and Temples in Southall. Guru Maneyo Granth Gurdwara in Slough is the biggest in the UK. It is built on a vast land which was a Citroen car show room. The Gurudwara is built entirely by volunteers offering ‘kar seva’.
We were received by Gurudwara volunteers. Their ‘seva bhav’ was exemplary. They allocated 5 volunteers to look after us. They helped the elderly, wheel chaired, and of course ‘langar’. We should learn from them the concept of ‘kar seva’.
On a sunny day the the coach drove through the beutiful streets of Windsor. We visited the King Street temple, Lady Margret Road temple and then Park Avenue Gurudwara. Everyone enjoyed the trip.
The trip well organised and managed. Thanks to Baljit Ji and Indu Ji.
